We can help! Staff members at the Lane Library are now offering individualized hour long training sessions for those who wish to better understand and manage their computers or devices. Whether learning to use a laptop, tablet, smartphone or software program, our knowledgeable staff will help to guide you. We will attempt to accommodate your schedule, so please use the form below to tell us a bit about what you would like to learn and the days / times that you are available. After we receive your information, a staff member will contact you to arrange a training session. PLEASE NOTE: as much as we sympathize, staff members cannot assist in solving problems with either hardware or software. We recommend that you consult a qualified repair technician.
For those who would like more in-depth training on a specific application such as Microsoft Word or Adobe Photoshop, the library provides a gateway to Universal Class, a service free to Lane Library patrons that offers hundreds of online CE classes facilitated by dedicated instructors sharing their knowledge on almost any imaginable topic. Their list of computer-related classes is here, while the registration page is here. Ask a library staff member for more information, or request help in getting started using the form below.
